Job Description

Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Experience with Facilities Management software.
  • Experience with contract execution and vendor insurance certification.
  • Experience in managing swimming pool and spa facilities is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building systems including: fire alarm, sprinkler systems, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems along with their proper maintenance.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to engage, inspire and lead colleagues in a collaborative manner.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and training.
  • Ability to work in manner consistent with the company’s values: Fun, Concern for Others, Trust, Accountability and Continuous Improvement.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as facilities manager, hotel chief engineer or similar role
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

Performance Measurement:

90 Day performance review, on-going feedback from supervisor, attendance, productivity, feedback from others.

 

Physical Demands:

This position is physically demanding and requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders and lifting up to 65 pounds. Requires flexible working hours including nights and weekends; Extended workdays may be required to accomplish tasks and meet workload demands during peak periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
